Keynote Speakers

The program will feature three keynote speeches – offered by eminent scholars in their field - discussing some of the trends that have characterized non-fiction filmmaking in various parts of the world.

African Diaspora Panel and Screening

Filmmakers, activists and academics will discuss some of the social particularities and representations that currently characterize the African and Afro-descendant experience in the Americas.

Works in Progress Workshop

Filmmakers and photographers will present projects in various stages of completion. The workshop will feature visual projects that are being developed, are in production or in post-production. It is an opportunity for unfinished projects to be presented and to receive feedback from the audience. This workshop will be moderated by one of our international guests.

 

 The screenings and special events will occur in parallel sessions.
